Songs For Christine Morse (H-D 61) on September 10th

SONGS FOR CHRISTINE MORSE

Join us ‪on Thursday, September 10 from 7 to 8 PM‬ for Songs For Christine Morse, a Face The Music Collective event via Facebook live. We’ll hear a few songs from Face The Music Collective founder Pete Kronowitt along with Earthwork Music artists Seth Bernard and Samantha Cooper. We’ll also hear directly from Christine Morse and discuss how to get her elected to the Michigan State House District 61.

In the state house, we are currently targeting seven districts — five GOP-held seats and two Democratic holds. Geographically, our targets are distributed across the state but the majority surround the Detroit metro area. Four GOP incumbents in target districts are being term-limited out of office, giving Democrats an opportunity to flip the chamber in 2020 and protect the integrity of Michigan’s independent redistricting process in 2021.

DISTRICT 61

Did you know that District 61 is the most likely to flip from red to blue? This district encompasses the city of Portage, parts of Schoolcraft and Vicksburg, and several townships in Kalamazoo County, including Texas and Oshtemo.

Democrat Christine Morse is seeking Republican state Rep. Brandt Iden’s seat in the Michigan House of Representatives, which he’s held for the last three terms. Lucky for us, there are term limits. However, Devos-funded Republican Bronwyn Halton is gunning for his spot. Christine’s campaign recently out-raised Halton in the post-primary period. This is great news (!) but she still needs all the help she can get.
