Dear Seth, I learned about your music from my friends Mike and Ruthy of the Mammals. I am a botany professor at a University in California and just finished writing a book about the diversity and conservation of trees of the state. Each page of the book has a quote about trees and I am wondering if you would give me permission to use a lyric from "Treeskin" on one of the pages of my book. The book will be published by Heyday Press in Berkeley and will be out next year. If you are interested in allowing this, or want more information, please contact me. If not, no big deal. I think your words and music are great. Warm regards, Matt

Hey Seth, Just saw you in concert at the arbor-omega concert in calumet. It was great as usual. I almost missed the concert because i didnt know it was going to take place, until i drove through calumet and saw you sitting on a bench taking on your phone( Ironicly i had one of your tunes jamming), so i went on line and found the concert. I purchased your new cd, love it, totally psychedelic. Shine on! Bernie

wow.. im in true dis belief. Almost 7 years ago I saw you play @ a small coffee shop in downtown Gaylord. Its was the most amazing concert that I had ever been to. You blew me away, and I enjoyed every second! I had bought your cd there at the show and still to this day listen to it. Over the years its become my favorite album and has endured some wear and tear..some of the songs skip and that makes me sad. How do I get a new one? do you sell cds with album art or is Itunes my only option? I believe the album that I love is "Hello Fellow Travelers" ... Louie the Lighting Bug is one of my all time favs...well even if i cant get another copy I wanted to tell you that I love your music. I'll be at blissfest this year just to see you!! Keep rockin!

Hey Seth, I'm Brad, a close associate of Dan Kahn's, and we met a few times at gigs maybe six or seven years ago or so. I'm his tall, communist friend. Anyway, he has mentioned over the years that you were still making music, and sure enough I began to see your name around online. So I've been checking out your newest releases and they're really, really quite good. I remember liking your music when I saw you in Detroit and A2 years ago, but wow, has it developed. Keep that shit up! By the way, are you at Dunegrass this year? I want to get up north for a cool festival and maybe that's the one. Anyway, I'm supposed to see Dan Kahn soon. His music has become incredible, too! You guys are ripening with age. Take care, keep up the music, and I'll see you around. Brad Duncan Detroit, MI palestinelives@hotmail.com

Hey Seth...Haven't listened to your music but I found your site because another site mentioned that you'd written the Mushman song "Brennan's Theme". If so, I'd just like to say that it's one of the single greatest tunes I've ever heard. Thank you.

Listening to the NPR and heard y'all . How ya doin? here's a poem “It is posed and it is posed But in nature it merely grows” Wallace Stevens A Study A photo of my wife and son About Anza-Borrego They stand on either side of a towering flowering yucca. She looks away and points down At the sandy soil, the receding ground. Black rock and thistle choke consume her glance, As well an empty stream whose two sides merge At a certain distance. He looks right past her gaze and sees the silver nothing that is sky. I Place translucent paper on the image, Trace outlines, spaces soon to bear my shade, Fill the void with something newly made, With water color drips, And with a one hair brush Paint loved ones lips.
