Laurel Premo and Michael Beauchamp of Red Tail Ring join with fellow Earthwork Artist Sam Cooper and banjo slayer Sam Herman to form the quartet stringband known as BOWHUNTER. With twin fiddles, banjo, and guitar, the group renders old time tunes to fuel a traditional dance floor frenzy. Their debut recording, "The Right Hands 'Round," features the fiery traditional and original fiddle tunes that the band is known for at square dances, but also includes a few traditional ballads with sweet harmony singing. The inclusion of a few off-the-cuff jokes and laughter pulls the listener into the intimate circle of the fun-loving four piece string band.
The Earthwork Music collective believes in the intrinsic and historical power of music to raise both community and self-awareness and serves to facilitate and encourage original music in the state of Michigan and beyond.
