INTERNSHIP & VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
We are seeking to cultivate relationships with volunteers and interns who can help us grow our capacity and manifest our vision. If you are interested in helping with social media and marketing, event production, event setup/tear down, fundraising, grant writing, data entry or grassroots environmental and social justice work, please fill out this intake form and we'll get you plugged in!
HIRE US
We are a collective of musicians, artists and cultural workers with decades of cumulative experience in the arts. We share a passion for producing events, writing original music and helping enrich our local communities. We also love performing and designing curriculum, whether its for area youth or for conference or festival goers. We would love to provide live music and programming for your business, your school or your organization. Please email us with any booking requests.
MEMBERSHIP
We're thankful for your inquiry and interest in Earthwork Music. We are a small, volunteer and member-based collective that resides primarily throughout Michigan. The Earthwork collective has a DIY/DIT ethos; collective members tend to book their own shows and finance their tours & albums independently. Unlike a record label that pays artists to make albums, members pay annual dues to be a part of Earthwork Music.
Officially joining the collective is an organic process, much like becoming a part of a community. Membership is typically offered from the collective to someone based on a mix of community leadership, artistic merit, collective collaboration and participation in our community events. This formal inclusion usually happens when this person is releasing an album, or during the collective’s annual voting period in March.
That said, we are a much larger community than the roster of official artists suggests and there are many ways to pitch in and be a part. We do not have the capacity to field email requests for new membership, but we love having new music and new folks on our radar, so please introduce yourself at one of our events! We are also happy to share our experience with others who are curious about starting their own collectives.
