MBC's debut solo album, featuring songs of broken hearts, friendship, drinking, the wonders of live music - recorded in East Jordan, MI at the home of Steve and Jana Middaugh, in late December 2007. Michael sent homemade tapes that fall to Andréa Moreno-Beals, Trevor Hobbs, and Micah Middaugh, of the band Breathe Owl Breathe. Micah offered up his parents’ tiny, circular cabin, with an essential wood stove for the session. Trevor’s brother, Ryan, a fantastic recording engineer who lived in Atlanta at the time, happened to be home for the holidays and was down to engineer at the last minute. Trevor and Andréa were the all-stars, as they learned, helped arrange, and performed/recorded the entire album in three days. Ian Gorman mixed and mastered. Eana Apple Agopian designed and drew the artwork.
